Take the mag apart. It is very easy. Clean it, wipe the spring down, oil it gently possibly and clean everything off. Look for a burr of some kind. Put it back together and it will probably work just fine. If not, go to step 2

I know there have been similar threads in the past but at a quick glance I didn't find anything. Yesterday I set up some targets and was target shooting my px4 9mm. It had been about 2 or 3 weeks since I had done so. I do try to shoot as often as possible... Anyway, I loaded up all of my magazines and went outside. The first magazine had no problems, worked as designed, as it always has. The second magazine, however, seemed to be sticking and not feeding the ammo to the top of the mag. I simply gave it a good smack, and it pops the next round flush where it should be. But when I chamber that next round, the same problem happens again. After emptying the magazine and reloading it, slapping it every few rounds along the way....it has the same problem. Does anyone have some advice for me to take care of this? I haven't taken it apart yet, because I have no experience doing that. I believe it should be very simple, but I wanted to get some input from the forum before I launched that project.
Thanks in advance![]()

Is it factory or aftermarket?
If cleaning doesn't help and you find no defects, if it's factory you should be able to get a new spring from Beretta. If it's not reliable, mark it for range use only, or better yet toss it.
I appreciate the info and this only confirmed what my gut told me. Yes, it is a factory mag, one of the originals that came with my gun. I will try to break it down and clean it, and if it still acts up, I will use it for target practice
Thanks again guys!
