not a bad looking gun! whats the retail on one of those?
Had the 8000 at the range for the 2nd time today. Ran close to 200 rounds through it without as much as a hiccup. It just keeps getting smoother. The trigger is superb. It fits my hand like a glove. I just can't say enough good things about this weapon. It accepts whatever ammo I feed it. It's a lot more accurate than I am. I purchased 3 extra hi -cap factory mags from CDNN (19.99 each) & they all performed perfectly. I am having a hard time trying to find a 9MM that's as good a value as this one, in fact, I really believe that for $369 new this is the best value 9MM out there. Oh & the Stoeger has one other thing going for it, it's a FUN gun to shoot! It doesn't tire you out, it doesn't beat you up, it's extremely easy to maintain, performs flawlessly & it's fun. What could be bad! If your looking for a 9MM semi auto don't count out the Stoeger 8000. It's not hi tech, it doesn't have any bells & whistles but it does exactly what a 9MM semi auto handgun is supposed to do & does it extremely well. If your a novice like me that just enjoys shooting & could care less about having the the latest & greatest check it out, both you & your wallet will be pleasantly surprised. I may just have to pick up another one. (LOL)

The Cougar is the best gun for the money, depending on the dealer the cost is around $400.
Might have to to take a look. In the market for a 9mm to with my .45...
My girlfriend picked one of these out about 3 years ago and she's put MANY rounds through it without a single issue. She loves that gun. When we got ours, it was $320. Can't beat that price for the quality.![]()
Where can you get these online? My local shop doesn't carry them. Checked budsguns and they dont carry them either.
Cabelas has them and on "sale" too....
And for those that want them in other calibers, they come in .40S&W and, soon (as the 8045), in .45ACP (with a rail)

Cabela's carry them all the time. They also carry the inox Cabela's version
Great guns!

I'll second the Stoeger quality for a great price! I don't have the Cougar, but it'll most likely be my next handgun purchase. I do have the Condor, their O/U shotgun. It shoots great, looks nice, and is very reasonably priced. I love that gun!![]()
I've been focused on the cougar for a couple of weeks . Now that my permits came in Monday. I will be getting one. Reading a couple reports from prominent shooters, they say the way the barrel stays straight at cycling it can do very small groups at 25 yards. I cant wait till I get my paws on it. I'm hoping my wife will try it and like it, she's stuck on 22's. Recoil shy!!!![]()
