I have 2 .45 LDA's. I like both a lot. Recoil is not bad and they are easy to disassemble. Only issue I have is rounds occasionally get stuck from the magazine to the chamber. The trigger pull is fantastic.
I had a Carry 12 LDA that was probably one of the best shooting guns I had shot up to that point. It was stainless and I really liked that. Two negatives though....no replacement grips at that time so you were stuck with the plastic crap that came with the gun. The gun had tritium night sights that were so dim and small that you could hardly see them. I traded it off for my first Wilson Combat 1911.
Well I had a P-10 pre Hog Was a piece of crap I sent nback and the did a rebuild That got it some what dependable. But was never good enough for a carry gun. Also didn't fit my hand well. Traded for a S&W 44mag and a difference on a 44 levergun. My one and only Para.
It's a great shooting gun. Recoil with it seems lighter than most other .40's to me, and I shoot it accurately.
