Well their web site says 5 minutes but what if you keep your gun in a drawer or gun safe not exposed to lamp or sun light?
Only one word for you - tritium
Order the universal set last week and got them over the weekend. Installion was relatively easy. Little small for my liking but I think they'll work out.
My question, to those who use them, is about the charging time. How long would you have to charge them to have them "glow" overnight? I placed my gun over a lamp last night and let the sites hang down absorbing light for about 10 minutes. They were "dead" in under 2 hours. Normal or not?

How did you charge them.
I use one of my mini LED flashlights (the ones powered by CR123 batteries). I hit each dot for about 10-15 seconds, and then they glow for hours. Just under a lightbulb probably doesn't work as well.
I disagree - they work very well. If you do a search for past posts about them, you will see many good posts. Do as I suggested above
The website recommends a UV light for optimum charging. I have them on 2 guns and tritium on one. Fully charged, the nitesiters look as bright as the tritium but, you may not always have the time or opportunity to charge them up. Poor man's (me) nightsightsI guess you could say.
I have them on my Sigma .40 and they work for me.
I may give them a try someday. I just don't like the idea of having to charge my sights.
Well, time to find some UV light in the house somewhere.
A small surefire sized light works just fine
