    Pocket Gun Recommendations

My carry gun is a Taurus PT 745. I'm now looking for pocket gun. Suggestions? (If you suggest a .380 gun please tell me where to get the ammo for it)

It depends on how tight you wear your pants, and how big your pockets are. There's no way I could carry a PF9 in my pockets, and although I could carry a P3AT in my pockets, I don't care for that much weight in my pockets.

Some pocketable handguns to look at are the .32 or .380 Seecamp, the Ruger LCP, the Kel-Tec P3AT, and Beretta .380 Tomcat. Some people even carry the lightweight J-frames as well. Also, Charter Arms is coming out with small revolvers that use 9mm para some time later this year (or so they say).

The P3AT provides the most bang for the buck, and are small enough to be pocketable by most people. Mine has been 100% reliable for many hundreds of rounds, and is plenty accurate for it's intended purpose.

You can get .380 at Wal-Mart, Academy Sporting Goods and Outdoors, Cabela's, and Gander Mountain. You can internet order from Natchez Shooters Supply as well.

A PF9 isn't any smaller than my PT 745 so I'm looking for something like the Bersa Thunder but I'm really afraid to get a .380 chambered gun right now. I notice that some online sellers are now selling the gun WITH ammo (typcially 100 rds) My Walmart has not had any .380 forever. Though I don't have one I've been watching. My local gun shops also have no .380. Just checked 6-7 online stores and they are out of 380. Natchez, J&G, AmmoMan , CtD, etc etc etc are all out and have never had .380 when I looked.....

    Thumbs up

I pocket carry the little Ruger .380 LCP. Regarding the location of .380 ammo...good luck.

Thanks... I think I have it narrowed down to the Ruger LCP or the P-3AT. Decision based on size/weight.

Sorry to be joining the party a little late...
    Since you already carry a .45, why not get a pocket-size .45 semi-auto?
I carry the AMT .45 Backup.
You can find one on the Gunbroker site, I'm sure. They're not horribly expensive, but their innards need some polishing to make the trigger-pull lighter.
Figure about $550.00 to $600.00 for the gun, and another $50.00 to $100.00 for a gunsmith to do the polishing. (Or you could do the "fluff-and-buff" yourself, if you have an hour's worth of spare time.)
