I'm an avid reloader, but just like everybody else I make mistakes. To make a long story short I was making up some 40 S&W loads in my Dillon 550b and I must have gotten side tracked. I pulled the handle twice and threw a double charge. Not realizing this I shot that round at the range and I knew it really kwik. I felt powder burn on my face (luckily I was wearing eye protection) and the round indicator flew off the gun as well as the extractor. what a rush! I sent the gun to Springfield and they brought it back to new! What service. Moral of the story? Be careful and pay attention to your loads.
Was that the story you told Springfield?
If so, did they fix it free of charge?
I was wondering that myself. Damn good "No questions asked" policy if it is
