I have been tempted to get a 22 target gun many times., Researched the Beretta Neos, Ruger, Buckmark, S&W, Walther P22, Sig Mosquito, etc.

The Walther and Sig 22s are not that great. Undoubtedly, an owner of one will chime in. But, I have read tons of complainst about these guns. Also, the slides are supposedly made of zinc.

The Ruger Mark 3 is supposed to be one of the best, I just don't care for it personally.

I would buy either a S&W 22A (which is somewhere around the $200 mark) or a Browning Buckmark, which is a little more expensive.

Yea ive been lookign at the 22a but just wanna get the best bang for the buck, This is just gonna be a cheap fun gun to shoot that will see thousands of rounds

You want an auto or six gun?

The Walther is lots of fun but small and will run you around 300. Mine was 350 with the longer barrell.

If you want to spend time and not spend to much the Ruger single sixs are great. This one cam with a 22 win mag and 22lr.

I never go to the range without two of these.

A good used Ruger MKII might be just what you're looking for.

My vote goes to a Single Six or MkII.

I will second the Walther p-22, I have one and my father also has one. And everyone that has shot mine has loved it. Mine is very acurate, has decent sights, and has eaten every cheap junk ammo I have thrown at it. The only thing my pistol does not eat well are mixed clips of CCI stinger and cheap federal, it will eat one or the other just not mixed in the same mag.

the p22 is looking tempting, I think im just gonna have to take a trip to the gun shop and look at a few options..

The one thing I can say for the Walther p22 is that it's the only 22 Auto that has never jammed on me once even with cheap ammo. I would guess I have put 10 bricks of ammo through this one. I could make the grip bigger but my wife like to shoot it all the time. I might just have to get her one,
