I have never shot one but since I have always liked the EAA witness line I bought a 9mm Limited. A guy at out local gun shop worked for EAA and is very fond of them. He is a pretty straight guy and says they are high quality handguns. I have handled several EAA products and they all have been well made. I just read an article actually in one of the popular mags about reasonably priced carry guns and the author said the poly compact was the most accurate out of the box handgun he had shot. Pretty high praise.

I have owned 2 EAA's. The poly .45 compact and the steel frame wonder finish 9mm. Really liked both guns. I don't know about the Elite lines, but, the poly's and the 9mm I had had some real magazine issues. It wasn't just me, several of my shooting friends that have them have the same issues. By the way, unless they have changed, their CS sucks with reponse time and responses period. Hopefully Tanfoglio will get that fixed. Just my .02.

Just replce the mag springs with Wolff spings if they still have issues.

Only downside to Tanfoglio guns in the past 3 or 4 years has been very poor service from the EAA importer for US.
