Since the P22 really does not simulate your other handguns, and since I don't feel that the quality is there, I would not recommend it. We had one, and it is one of the very few handguns that we've purchased in the past several years that really disappointed. I know that lots of people like them, and they are fun to shoot, but they are not very accurate, and the quality is not commensurate with the cost.

I've not use the Sig you mentioned, so I can't say anything good or bad. I have read that the other Sig .22 called the Mosquito has not found a large following because of numerous problems. Nonetheless, I hope to add one to our collection at some point and see if the many complaints I've read have merit.

Another .22 semi that emulates a full-size handgun is the CZ Kadet. One could also get a Glock and a .22 conversion kit.

You should at least look into the better .22lr semi's as well. The Ruger MKIII and Browning Buckmark have been around a long time, and provide a great amount of performance for the dollar. A nice BM can be found new in our parts for about $279, and it is ten times the pistol that the P22 is, for about forty or fifty dollars less.

I like the Buckmark's trigger But being a 1911 guy I like my Ruger MK III 22/45 for it's balance and grip angle.

There was a recent post about this subject. I am awaiting for the ASA .22 to be avaiable. They tell me by the end of May at a cost of around $400. The slide is designed and made by Glock. Check it out at http://www.austriansportingarms.com

That austrian 22 is a very interesting looking gun. Are they making anything other than a 22? The website is not very informative.

Dave, looks to me like they only have the .22. I probably assume they have been in the business for a long time, but maybe making guns for other names.

Just got an update from ASA, the gun will not be available until the end of June.

I would suggest a Buckmark or a 22 coversion unit for the Sig you already own.
