If it was me I'd buy the M&P, but if I was you I'd try to go to a range and rent and shoot each then decide.
I have been doing my home work for over a year now and I have come to the descision that I want a Springfield XD 9mm sub compact I want this for my CCW. I have read all about this gun I have really done my home work. It was out performed the M&P in almost everything I have read. When I went to purchase this gun on Saturday the man at the counter told me that he dislikes the XD and the M&P was a much better weapon. He showed me differences and almost had me change my mind. In short I didn't buy either and now have know idea which way to turn. Please help. What should I do???![]()

I tried both, the XD fit my hand better (although I didn't get to try all three backstraps on the M&P), so I bought the XD. Can't go wrong with either, IMO, so get the one you like.
If you are going to get a MP get the 45 and the SR 9
Go with the XD...like the grip safety
But then agai....go with what feels better in your hand
