What are some options on a CCW .45 caliber???
Preferences
1. I am used to the Glock system and am not hard-wired to flipping off a safety before engaging in a stressful situation.
2. I am middle-aged medium build but have difficulty in hiding a Glock23 on me (too wide of grip - for concealed)
3. Currently carry Ruger SP101 without difficulty.
BTW - shot my 1st .45 today (Glock 21) and enjoyed it. not much recoil (compared to the .40 or 9mm), more of a push. Nice BIG holes. Used Glock 22 as LEO but hip holster and open carry
Thanks for the input.

Kimber Ultra carry 2 if you can get used to flipping a safety, else id stick with glock
Kahr CW45. Really thin, full handed grip, good trigger, and mine has been flawless. I carry mine everyday with Golden Sabers.
You probably should stop by your local gunshop and take the Colt New Agent in hand; it'll speak for itself about .45acp concealed carry.
if you want a 1911 style then there are a lot of 3" models to choose
me.....
i'd rather have a glock model 36
the best and a lot cheaper
You are correct, Glocks are cheap.

A Glock 36 should fit your needs. It has a single stack magazine so it is thinner than other Glocks.
+1
I have a Glock 36, and am liking it thus far. I had one little hiccup during my last outing, but it isn't even broken in yet (could have been an ammo issue). You can see my "showdown" in the following thread with my XD9SC and G36 (far from over, but it's a start):

The "showdown" in that thread, stems from my thread here:

3" 1911 platform always seems to conceal the best for me. Th Glock 36, I have to agree with the previous posters on this. I have also the Ruger 345 but I have not tried this out for carry yet. Sigs are a little too wide for my tastes.
