Hey, I got a Baby Eagle .40 and the barrel is loose. When you have the slide locked back, the barrel just jiggles and when you have it in the normal position, the barrel still is somewhat loose. Just wondering if this is normal or not?

You're saying the slide is locked back and the barrel rattles? I don't have that gun in particular but many do that. I have a friend with one. I'll ask him and repost:smt023
My slide moves around a little as well. It seems loose. If you take the end of the barrel and push around on it, it moves. I hope this thing shoots straight when I finally get a chance to shoot it. So far, the tip of the gun moves around like crazy......or at least it seems.
Have you discussed your concerns with the person you got it from?
The barrel moving around in most center fire semi auto handguns when the slide is locked back, is perfectly normal. When you field strip your pistol you will note that the barrel is only locked into position when the slide is forward. When the slide is in battery how loose is the barrel in the slide? .001'' or 050"?
It's hard to tell without actually seeing it. The barrel movement sounds normal, but I'm not so sure about the slide movement.:smt017
