Price range?
I've always been a revolver type, but recent events have caused me to rethink my home defense situation.
I'm looking for a full sized semi-auto in .45 acp. I like the idea of a stacked magazine and something with a little weight to it.
We don't have children in the house.
I have no allegience to any manufacturer, as long as the pc. is reliable and can be purchased in Maryland.

Price range?
I don't know, $600-$700. More for the right pc. I'm not looking for any thing fancy. Reliability is number one.
Thanks
I've been looking at Combat Commanders, but desided I wanted a full sized pc.
Can't go wrong with Glock or XD and stay in the 450-600 price range. Both guns are extremely easy to shoot and VERY dependable. There are many dependable handguns, stay with the major manufacturers and you can't go wrong, just depends on how much you want to spend. Just my .02![]()
the M&P 45 would work nice

A CPO SiG P220 will fit at or below the price range. I got mine as a CPO and it's been every bit as reliable as any of mine that have been NIB. No complaints and it digests everything I've tried in it to date. Currently have 230gr WWB and 185gr HydraShoks on tap for it.
M&P40 or 45
I would say Glock has the best track record as far as reliability. I would recommend getting the caliber you feel most comfortable with. For me it's 45acp
What should a new Model 21 Glock go for?
New or used.
