I call it the noisy cricket.........its a jennings j-22 and it has to be the most fun gun i now own. its not for protection, its not for hunting, its for just taking out in the field and shooting random things, mainly i just keep it in my glove box incase shit happens where i need to make a loud pop to get away cause if uv ever sot a jennings/bryco,ring of fire gun you know its not the most reliable. but so far this thing has shot every round iv put through it, and it looks somewhat nice with its wooden grips and its pollished frame.
just thought id post up about my new member of the small family

I hope you and your new addition have a blast. I've not had good luck from that brand of pistol but if yours is working great then...great!..heh

Yes, there was. If you go and read the forum rules and then re-read the original post, you will then see where the problem lies.
Keep in mind that this is a public forum that anyone can read, including minors. Just because you aren't actually physically speaking to someone doesn't mean that you don't have to watch what you say. IOW, the language you use in private shouldn't always be the language you use in public.

Ahhh.....I see it now. Guess I'm used to that stuff even on forums.....not here though. I bet most new people assume that this is an "adult" forum.
I wouldn't consider this forum to be an "adult" forum (although I could see how a new person would), although most certainly the great majority of participants are adults. I've been shooting since the age of 10 and shot competitively when in high school, so the realm of shooting and firearms is not limited to adults.
At any rate.....I use that type of language on occasion as well, so I'm not against it, but I don't use it in a public place, and certainly not in a place that can be seen/heard by minors. I for one am glad that there is a set of standards here, and am happy to abide by them (as I'm sure most people would be....).

PhilR.
This is an adult forum, no one under 18 years of age is allowed register and post on the forum.
Yes, we know that. Thank you very much. Anyone with a computer, including people who are not adults, can read the forum. IOW, you don't have to be a member in order to read the posts in this public place.
And besides, the fact that only adults can post has no bearing on whether or not there should be a standard of behavior....

According to the forum requirements, ALL members are 18 years or older.I wouldn't consider this forum to be an "adult" forum (although I could see how a new person would), although most certainly the great majority of participants are adults.
Too bad for them, blame their parents.Anyone with a computer, including people who are not adults, can read the forum. IOW, you don't have to be a member in order to read the posts in this public place.
If it bothers you that much then take it up with a Moderator. And besides, the fact that only adults can post has no bearing on whether or not there should be a standard of behavior....
PhilR, you are being ridiculous.

lesseehere.... a person asks a legitimate question and I answer it, and nice but short discussion ensues. The some person named "unpecador" comes along and puts up posts that don't address the OP or answer someone's questions, but only serves as an attempt to discredit my posts, (not only once, but twice), and I'm not allowed to reply?
Perhaps you didn't notice in the first place that my posts were not even meant for him, but yet for some unknown reason he felt the need to interject himself into a discussion and take apart my replies and put up arguments that are resoundingly short-sighted. Well, he can do that if he wants, but that doesn't mean that I can't put up my own replies as well.
PhilR.
Actually, nothing. But Fred40 asked a very good and legitimate question of me, and I decided to reply. Perhaps his question didn't have anything to do with the OP, but he was nice enough to ask, so I should be nice enough to answer. I have no idea as to why this unpecador person decided to jump in and take apart my conversation and put up some short-sighted arguments that mean nothing, but there's nothing that states I can't reply to statements directed at me.

PhilR.
And this is how what could have been a useful thread, becomes worthless.
