Was at a gun show this past weekend and saw the XDm for the first time. Gotta say it's lots better looking than the XD. Plus it has replaceable backstraps so you can fit it to your hand. that's the way I'd go. The price differential doesn't seem very significant.

i think but this is just my opinion is if you want an xd i think the regular xd wood be the way to go i was not to inpres whit the xdm the only thing that i did like was the match-grade barrel if the regular xd had that barrel it wood make the gun much much better to shoot !!!!!!!!

Depends on what you're going to use it for. From what I've read, the XDm is a range/ target specific gun and owners prefer to carry something else besides their XDm. If you're going to carry, I'd go with the XD9Sub because of it's size. If you're looking for one single gun to do it all (target/ carry/ HD) then the XD9Service should fit the bill. Just my nitpicky .02 worth.

Of course, the best advice I keep reading on choosing a gun is to just pick the one that feels right in your hand when you aim.
