I have a Sig 226 9mm, that is one of the best guns in the world. I bought it new for 400.oo, so you know that's been a while ago. I decided to get another 9 and i narrowed it down to three choices, and i need some opinions on which to choose. I picked the CZ 75 or the Baby Eagle or the FN with the Sig like ejection port. It will be used for home defense. The only issue is dependability, not cost. Any suggestions? Thanks
Save yourself a few bucks and get a Witness. Same gun as the CZ, only made in Italy, imported by EAA, and a few dollars cheaper than the CZ. By the way, the Baby Eagle and AR24 are their brothers. Same design, but each has subtle differences, and prices.
I'm reading on the net that the CZ's are having feeding problems. Coming from the factory with weak clip springs. You buy a new gun and you have to replace parts in it so it will work right? Maybe I better just choose from the Baby Eagle or the FN.
I like the fn (out of your choices anyway). I like the fact it comes with 3 mags. Herd nothing but good from friends at the range. The one I shot was relible and I shot it almost as well as my glock 19.
Well thanks for all the input men, seems like many pistols have their pros and cons. After much deliberation I decided to stay home for a few weekends and save up some extra $$$$ and get a Sig 239. It will serve well as a HD gun plus compact enough to carry. I'm comfortable with 8 rounds of federal HST 124 gr. JHP 9mm and an extra clip in my back pocket.
