I hit the range Saturday with a good friend of mine...I took my two newest additions with me.My Magnum Research Baby Desert Eagle (40sw) and my Sig P6(225) 9mm.
First I shot my friends Beretta Cougar (380acp),because he thinks it's the bomb....it's ok,But this isn't a report on that gun.
Then I went directly to my P6.I placed my target at about the 15yd line and let it settle as I Double checked my eyes and ear protection...Slapped a loaded mag in,took aim and.....
Take a look at this target.I can't complain with a group like that, the first time shooting this weapon.
Needless to say,I quickly pulled off my target and saved it for my range report.
I love this gun!!!It took zero time to get used too and I find that I get better groups If I don't take my time between shots.(I'll practice more DA firing next time)
Weapon -- Sig P6(225) 8rnd single stack mags
modifacations -- Sile grips,18# mainspring,Trijicon night sights
Ammo -- Winchester 9mm white box 115gr FMJ
Next up was my Magnum Research 40sw Baby Desert Eagle.
This...I have to get used to.Still,Not a bad first group and it did get better.Pic is of the first group.I didn't have a whole lot of ammo with me for this but I put 50rds through it without a hitch...I have no complaints....I just used the Sig more that day.
What I did find NEAT and unexpected was that when you insert a full mag with the slide locked back,It automatically releases the slide and chambers a round...I could see where this would help in a nervy situation.
This is a smaller target than the first pic!
Weapon -- IWI/Magnum Research Baby Desert Eagle (40sw) 12rnd mags
Mods -- None
Ammo -- HSM(hunting shack) 180gr FMJ

Thanks for the reports. Can you tell me where you got the grips for your P6?
thanks,
PhilR.
I ordered them from Numrichs(sp?) at the same time I pre-ordered my Sig.They are all sold out now
They came in a plain, old looking plastic bag, held closed by a staple. The grips looked like sh*t ....no finish and covered in dust and had some sort of yellow substance dripped and dried onto small areas...that was a real bear to get off.I cleaned ,lightly sanded and refinished them in tung oil.
Did ya notice I bent the mag base plates to give my pinky a break? It worked wonders....
