She picked a GREAT gun. I think I shoot my XD9SC better than my service model. Those things shoot great. Reliable and accurate all in one little package. Congrats!

Lol, I think I created a monster. My wife and I purchased her a P22 a little over a month ago. She loves shooting it. She was ready to move on,lol. I told her I was saving money for when she wanted to try a .9mm.....Well, today was the day. We went to the gunshow yesterday and picked up all...........the "pink" guns, for our daughter.... plus a Kahr CW9, PM9 and a S&W M&P, and others. We ended up picking up a XDsc9. She loved it, lol, problem is ..so do I, lol. She had an absolute blast shooting it.
She had a lot of fun. This is the first time she has shot anything bigger than a .22.I think I need to start reloading, lol. The right is all her. I shot 6 shots on the left........ The most important part is she had fun!!and cannot wait to go shoot again.

Welcome to the NEW Dark Side... to your wife...
And since you like hers so much... get one for yourself!
Like I always say... XDs are like potato chips...
I have the XD 40 service, lol. I like hers alot and man, it is sweet shooting. So, 1st reloader...2nd XDsc9.
that 22 is nice and accurate.
Does she have any issues racking the slide? I looked at smaller (.32 & .380) semi's for my wife but she was having trouble racking the slide. They were all sold out of the XD subcompacts. I personally want one just for concealed carry.
Did you shoot it with or without the extended mag?
That's good to hear - my wife is interested in it as well. Any other endorsements for it? If you don't mind, what is your wife's preferred carry method - that's the next step I have to work on with mine!
She had a little trouble at first. Once she was more familiar with the gun, she has had no problem. She loves shooting that gun. So, she enjoys messing with it.
She wants to try smart carry. She is leery of carrying in her purse, because she figures they will get gun and her purse. She will also get some sort of fag bag.
bps3040: now that you have a "good" shooting partneryou'll need to practice
Kick Buttt gal.
I want her on my team
You have crossed the Bridge; getting her started; her confidence will grow, and the 'by' productif needed; she can be in a better position to protect herself and those she loves.
