    Thumbs up

Mr Camp comes on this site once in awhile and writes very good articles on the HP. You might try their site. Here it is I am sure you will find all you would ever want to know about the Browning. They are a fine gun.

Seems like I remember hearing something about the older brownings, those made in belgium were much better than the new ones. Anyone know anything about that?

If I am not mistaken they are all made by the FNH company out of Belgium. The Browning and FN are made on the same lines. You can find all you want to know on the site I gave you. Good luck.

Please be very careful in handling an HP or, worse yet, firing one. I found out about the danger the hard way and I am willing to warn you.

    They are ADDICTIVE !

I have many handguns. My Hi-Power is the last one i would get rid of (if I were to get rid of any). I used to say that about my CZ-75.

Well actually some Browning handguns are made in Portugal in the Browning Factory in Viana do Castelo.

And to Answer your question about the quality, there is no doubt that the hi-power is a great handgun used by almost all Europeans anti-terrorist units (even the SAS) but for me and a lot of shooters I know, a single action pistol is not the best for CCW, the traditional DA/SA is prefered.

Another positive vote for the High Power, If I had a good duty holster I might carry it

I have a Hi-Power in 40SW and it is beautiful! The Hi-Power is a standard bearer.
