Sure.

Wadcutters are bullets with a totally flat nose. Picture a flying cylinder or a tiny beer keg. They cut nice round holes in targets.

Ball ammo is otherwise know as "full metal jacket." It's a solid bullet, usually round nosed, covered with a copper jacket.

Here's what wadcutters look like and ball the bullet would be completley round.

Thanks for the explanation guys. I heard competitive shooters talking about using a gun specifically made for "wadcutter" ammo. Now I understand the context of that comment.

Ball or full metal jacket is sometimes called "metal case" as well. This is not to be confused with the occasional "mental case" which is a person who likes Glocks.
