    More from my non-Glock Austrian

Well, here are a little more of my Steyr M40-A1. I really like this gun, and I really like the trap sights. Line the front with the back to make a trapazoid and point the tip of the triangle in front where you want the bullet to go.

I made a post about this gun after my first range trip with it in the "Range Report" section; it got a lot of looks but no replies so I won't reiterate too much.

Very fun, very unique, very accurate (my friend and I got five bullseyes (2") out of 24 shots at over 100 feet w/ ~ 3 seconds between shots), and it's been very reliable thus far. It's seen 600 rounds with no hiccups and it's been ~ 400 rounds since the last cleaning. After about 90 mins at my friend's dad's friend's farm, he wanted to go out of respect. My buddy and I still had over 100 rounds to shoot so rather than pack them up and put them away (where's the fun in that?) we unloaded them as fast as we could reload the mags and the pistol was up to the task. Nightstand worthy for sure...and I paid less than $390 for it at a local place.

Beauty shots (hey, beauty is in the eye of the beholder ):

Almost forgot to mention, it's very easy to take down with a Beretta-like switch. Just push in on the internal lock button and rotate a switch down and it will fall right apart.
