Any info on Hi-Point C9?
I was just going through some old magazines. In Guns of 2/07 there is an article about the Hi-Point C9. American made, reliable, and retails for only $149.00 !!!!!
It looks like it may be a good gun for the wife.
For $149, I don't see how it could be as good as the review claims.
I wish it was available in .40, which it may be by this time.
Any information on the weapon from people who have first hand knowledge is much appreciated.
I've heard some bad storys about the Hi-Points and ive heard some goodones. They have a little bit more kick than others because of the way they are made.
There are a lot of people over on teh High Point Forum that have them and really like them. In my opinion, most of the bad reports come from people who have never picked one up. They are very top heavy because of their blow back design and require a heavy slide to handle the recoil. You can get them in .360, 9mm, .40 cal, and .45 ACP. Sure, there are better pistols out there, but for the $ it would make a good plinking pistol. The 9mm would probably be the better choice. All of this is my opinion only.
I have never seen the pistol but that little carbine rifle my brother in law got is a jewel. works everytime and is on the target.
I've called a few gun shops that sell the gun. Other than it being heavy, no one has had anything negative to say about the weapon.
I think it may be worth a try
