    Storing pistol field stripped Question

    Question from expert and gunsmiths: can I store my pistol field stripped in 2 different box? say slide and barrel in on box and rest in another?

    I wouldn't. I would clean it, add a little extra CLP, and store it as a whole unit. (assembled)

    Sure you can; Ruger actually recommends storing their pistols long-term in a half-stripped state, so they cannot be readily used unless correctly assembled.
