How sad is it that this has become true... Great story my friend, I wish more people could see right and wrong and not opt out of morality with the good old "moral relativity" argument.
I was in a store that caters to military and police yesterday and witnessed an interesting bit of integrity by the sales staff. An African-American couple were talking to a sales clerk and looking at handguns - apparently they were concerned with crime in their neighborhood. I started paying attention as I approached the counter to buy a holster and the clerk was advising the lady to check on pistol courses through the NRA. He then said they should really go to a range that rents guns and try several out, so they'd know what they like before buying a handgun. I mentioned one range not too far away that rents and another customer mentioned another. At this point the lady borrows a pen and starts writing down the names and is very appreciative as they depart.
It isn't often that you see sales staff pass up an easy sale to do the right thing.

I would expect them to make a decision and go back to the store and purchase the firearm they decided on. Integrity should be a two way street but we will never know.
Well said; integrity should be a two way street... in fact it should simply be the norm.
That's the gun shop and salesman that would get my money.
Excellent customer service.
Would you mind mentioning the store?
I'm glad I work at an indoor range that rents out guns, I always tell folks who are shopping to try before they buy.
The store is Quantico Arms, which has several locations in Northern VA - one being the town of Quantico. Lots of tactical goodies - guys heading for deployment usually stock up there. Good folks with integrity. Hopefully the couple will come back and buy from them. QA, along with VA Arms are the best dealers in NoVA, IMO.
