    My Parts Box

    I just finished making a wooden tool chest out in my workshop. First time I ever made such an undertaking, and it looks amateurish, but its not too bad. Any way, it become my gun parts box. I was a little surprised at the left over parts I have on hand:

    Smith & Wesson barrel, .44 Magnum, 6" long.
    Smith & Wesson barrel, .357 Magnum K frame, 6" long.
    Target hammer and Trigger, S&W N-Frame
    Ruger Grip frames, aluminum, three-screw (2)
    Ruger Grip Frames, aluminum, NM (3)
    Ruger grip Frame, Steel, Blue, SBH
    Hammer, Ruger NM Blackhawk
    Hammer, Ruger, NM, Bisley
    Hammer, Ruger, Three screw, Blackhawk
    Trigger, three screw, SBH
    Trigger, Ruger, Bisley
    Ejector housings, aluminum, Ruger (5)
    rear sight, .30 M1 Carbine
    Rear sight, target, Redfield target
    Rear sights, Ruger Blackhawk (2)
    Ejector housing screws, Ruger (6)
    Backstrap, Colt Single Action
    Misc'l. parts, Colt SAA
    Arched mainspring housing, Colt M1911

    Maybe some day, they'll all materialize into one gun?

    After many years of owning various firearms, repairing most of them myself, I too have accumulated a good assortment of gun parts. My inventory is more of "I know I have one of those", rather than being well organized like yours, but it's nice to have "that spring" when you need/want it.
    Funny you should mention the wooden tool chest. Not being handy with tools of that nature, I had to purchase mine. Now, my firearm repair tools and parts are all in my dandy Gerstner tool box... I can finally get away with leaving "my stuff" in the living room as my wooden tool chest looks like it might belong there.... It sure was a step up from my Plano box!
    I'd rather of built it myself, but I need it to actually hold something...

    I'm not sure what all I have to be honset. Its spread out over a mess of tool boxes, cigar boxes and gun cabinets.......
