Thread: USAF Thunderbirds Air Show

I wonder why they only had 4 Thunderbirds in the air? Maybe it had something to do with the low cloud cover of the day. Did they do mosly fly by's all day or did they do some stunts to? Bad day for a air show with the low clouds. There still fun though.

I love going to air shows, I haven't seen one now though for close to 3 years. I love the head on shot of the A-10 Thunderbolt(Warthog) The most effective ground attack plane ever made. One of the sexiest guns ever too, 7 barrels of 30mm depleted Uranium tank killing! All at thousands of rounds a minute. Did you know, they designed the airframe around the gun? The whole weapon sys is the size of a VW Beetle from muzzles to magazine.

The clouds weren't nearly as bad by the time they went up (so says my horrific sun burn) but I guess they judged from early in the day. They did some stunts. Unfortunetly, my digital camera wasn't strong enough to reach high enough for them to be clear, so a lot of that video got trashed. I also couldn't see the planes at all on my screen so I was guessing where they were. They did a lot of stuff over the waiting area for the buses... I think they knew a lot of people would make their way out during the show.
