Thread: Bye Bye Lights

My mom tossed out the deer on the front lawn because all the lights in its head blew out. Now we have a new one.

And it moves.

Help me.

I thought you were supposed to wait after New Year's to take the stuff down.

I think Ship uses a different calendar than most of us. He had his lights up around Thanksgiving if I remember correctly.

Yes, U are right - I have the ShipWreck calendar. National "Buy a Gun for your Husband" Day is in 3 weeks

Well, I normally would have - but seeing that 2 foot section on a particular string being out for 3 weeks now had been irritating me. I borrowed a 20 foot ladder and spent an hour testing each bulb a few weeks ago. And, I had no luck. So, I was stuck w/ it.

And, after seeing it this long and Christmas is over, I decided to take it down since I have this week off.

Good plan, too. Today, the exterminator is coming. He always sprays the overhang and my entire yard. So, the lights would have been covered in pesticide if I had left them out.

I did throw away that particular string of lights that wouldn't work right, though....
