Triggerguard took all of 5 minutes, you just have to be sure to back up the reciever with a wood block so you don't break off the tab on the reciever.
The quad rail is a two piece free float, 13" - so in this case you don't have to remove the front sight block, just dremel off the delta ring. But since it's 13" on a carbine gas system, I still modified the front sight block by dremeling off the sight tower and reshaping, then re-blueing.
The original flash hider was a b$%% to get off - I finally ended up dremeling away the crush washer to loosen it's grip. God bless the Dremel.
And in case anyone is interested, the vertical foregrip has a rather lo-tech mod, a bicycle grip slipped over it..
Hopefully I'll get to take her out sometime this week :smt067
AJ how could you? Now some poor kid in the neighborhood has only one handle bar grip. Ha! Ha! Just kidding. That is a AWESOME looking gun you built there.
Good luck with it and let us know how it shoots.
Wow! She is beautiful. Makes my heart beat faster and my palms get sweaty and my... well, we won’t go there.
