'A VOTE FOR TAA NEXT WEEK IS A VOTE TO SEND FAST-TRACK TO THE PRESIDENT'S DESK'

It appears there will be another attempt by Tuesday to force through new executive powers for President Obama. A vote for TAA next week is a vote to send fast-track to the President's desk and to grant him these broad new executive authorities. If that happens, it will empower the President to form a Pacific Union encompassing 40 percent of the world's economy and 12 nations-each with one equal vote. Once the union is formed, foreign bureaucrats will be required to meet regularly to write the Commission's rules, regulations, and directives-impacting Americans' jobs, wages, and sovereignty. The union is chartered with a "Living Agreement," and there is no doubt it will seek to expand its membership and reach over time.

Fast-track will not only apply to the Pacific Union, but can expedite an unlimited number of yet-unseen international compacts for six years. There are already plans to advance through fast-track the Trade in Services Agreement, the goal of which includes labor mobility among more than 50 nations, further eroding the ability of the American people to control their own affairs.

Americans do not want this, did not ask for it, and are pleading from their hearts for their lawmakers to stop it.

The Republicans control both parts of Congress, but the world has turned upside down. THEY are pushing this agenda for the president, and the Democrats are the ones against it.

I have understood recently that there is not much difference between the two - and one could think that it is democrats pretending to be republicans to control them form within.

For years, Glenn Beck has said that there really is no difference... That the whole "label" thing is pushed about to divide us and confuse us. In this case, I would say that is correct...

But damn - can you believe what is happening? They are throwing this country and its citizens under the bus. I feel sorry for my son. Whether this succeeds or not - it will not stop...

I don't lay claim to the title of republican as I view the majority of the ones in office as too liberal for my tastes. I am a classic liberal, which makes me a constitutionalist and more in line with a number of the Founders.

As for current republicans in congress, I like Trey Gowdy. He impresses me a lot and has remained very steadfast in his belief structure from what I can tell. There are a few others, but Rep. Gowdy is a fine example in my opinion.

To Shipwreck;

As for this country making serious headway to the dark abyss, I agree with you. This has been going on in earnest for most of my life (I am 69). I have seen much and a good deal of what I have seen does not bode well for the future of our nation.

Don't you wish that there were more Republicans like Jeff Sessions? One of my favorite senators, a true statesman.
At this point, I think it is SO, SO much easier to say that ALL of them are two sides of the same coin... Because they are... It's no longer the hypothetical, crazy and outlandish conspiracy theory to say this... Not like it once was considered to be...

They ARE all the same - with just two different labels to confuse us... With one real agenda....

Getting the people to fight with one another... We are too busy watching their 1 hand in motion - while they are really doing something with their other hand behind their back... The hand behind their back is where the true power and abuse is happening... Only, we don't even know what they are REALLY doing anymore....

When the arguments of Obama care were discussed... And democratic representative after democratic representative stated that 85-90% of their constituents were against it - but they were going to vote for it ANYWAY... When it passed - I KNEW that was the end of the concept of them actually being held accountable. At least to SOME degree... And it was... That was a watershed moment when both sides of the aisle saw that there isn't much accountability... With a year or two of spin on the news, the low information crowd has time to forget about that and be force fed a NEW opinion by the media.

Sure, there was some changing of the guard - but not nearly as much as there should have been. And look - it's the republicans who are NOT standing up to Obama when they could be right now... Why is that?!?! Because, they are the actually all the same...

I read something recently that stated that you THINK you have a choice when the election time comes around. But outside of a local level - you really don't. There is no REAL choice...

The majority of them are, no doubt about that. In order to become a politician one must first be a detestable swine. It's a prerequisite for political office. Unfortunately we have to pick one side of the other. Staying home on election day is not an option. Same for a multi party system. One things for sure, we'll never win by quitting or giving up the fight. Someone will have to represent us. Do keep in mind that some of those elected on the local level eventually make it to the state or national level. They gotta' start out somewhere.

You've presented a valid argument which can't be disputed. However not all politicians are loathsome individuals. The ones that deserve our support have never wavered in their positions throughout their political careers regardless of the political consequences. These are the people who deserve our support, Jeff Sessions being one of them, Trey Gowdy, Mike Lee to name a few others. Mia Love looks promising? Unfortunately stupid people and those who do not follow politics vote, along with those who pay very little in taxes yet receive the lions share of governmental largess. About the only thing good I have to say about the Republican Party is if there were no Republican Party there would be no 2nd Amendment or "Constitutional Law". How long that lasts is anybody's guess? Democrats believe in a democracy where the majority rules regardless of the checks and balances along with individual rights guaranteed by the Constitution. The whole purpose of the Constitution is to preserve individual liberties regardless of who is in power and to limit the powers of government. It is the law of the land. Government officials are sworn to uphold it so help them God.

So it all boils down to who will you support? Or not support any of them at all?

Fast track is just giving Obama the power to fix the deal, then Congress votes yes or no with no amendments. Fast track was turned down by Democrats who bow to Union power and by Republicans that hate Obama regardless of what he tries to do. The trade deal is an effort to limit Chinese power by strengthening ties with Pacific Rim countries. I can't imagine how this will "change our country forever"? The biggest threat to the future of the United States is China, not Obama.

There is more to it than that - read the articles and other stories. The thing is - they are keeping so much other stuff in it a secret - and attaching so many other things to it as well - ya know - "they can't know what's in it until they pass it."

I found it completely understandable that Dems countered this - I had always assumed it was a Republican bill just because it loosened trade.

I have a feeling the corporate Overlords will not be happy with their minions on both sides..... But I'm happy. :)

First off it was greed and treasonous politics that put us in the mess with China.........so lets quit pretending that all that has vanished during the current administration.

Second ,if the POTUS is so terribly concerned with the our well being then why hide all his great ideas from the public..............and why attach a bunch of buried riders to this legislation?

The answer is obvious.
