Hey, welcome back. Hope U keep managing to drop in on occasion![]()
Been somewhat uneventful, in the shooting department. Still shoot 200-300 rounds each Saturday, just to keep in form.
My daughter's car blew the engine last week and I've been her transportation and advisor while she replaced that. She ended up buying a 2003 Ford Mustang, to "keep up her image."
Attended funeral of a dear friend of ours at chuch last week. This was for the wife of some friends of ous. She had suffered a brain hemorrage on Saturday and died early Tuesday morning.
She and her husband had lived for many years in Rochester, New York, both working for Eastman Kodak. He had once considered becoming a gunsmith and had studied under Doug Turnbull.
My mother-in-law had a plumbing emergency on the day I thought I finally had for myself. Ended up rebuilding a kitchen faucet for her.
Starting to think about a new project. I have a Ruger Bisley in .45 Colt that was originally a Blackhawk. Now thinking of going back to Blackhawk configuration. Found out the Bisley is not exactly the sauce for my BBQ.
The Rugers I reported on under Ruger Gunsmithing, re-aliging the barrels, still are right-on, the Loc-Tite still holding the barrels against rotation. This was the penetrating Loc-Tite for use with parts already assembled.
Miss reading your posts on a daily basis, but I can get by the library or Old Folk's Center to access a computer, so I'm not dead in the water.

Howdy, Bob! Glad you could drop in! The forum is a poorer "place" without your extensive knowledge...please swing thorugh the revolver subforums and give those newbies a few pearls of wisdom, eh?
