I remember "the Reflex" but never really knew what it was. I really didn't care for Frankie or his trip to Hollywood... now THAT was sorta godawful to me ... :smt003. Around that time I started to fade over to Buffett-ville.
You are just graduating pre-school right now.
You were into that God-Aweful Nirvanna stuff.
You really know what "The Reflex" was.
You can Disco with the best of them!
You grew up in Mayberry.
You were a Stooge before there were 3 of them!
Take your pick![]()

Barney was my idol (not the purple Dinosaur)!!
I've got one bullet in my pocket, and I carry empty.

Here ya go Wander...
that show was before my time but it's one of my favorites.
Mayberry on black and white TV in a very large cabinet built into a stereo complete with am/fm and a turn table. We ROCKED!![]()

Watched Mayberry and others on a little B/W tv with no sound setting on top of an older tv with sound and no picture! But it was a riot to watch one channel and listen to a different channel sometimes( Of course there were only 3 channels available at that time![]()
Man, that brings back memories. The two TV's to make one let us stretch our budget when we got married.
And only three channels? We were happy to get good reception on two of the three with our rabbit ears. The rabbit ears had aluminum foil flags on top to help the reception. Sometimes we would take turns standing or sitting in the "sweet spot" in the room to help to improve the reception.

Ha! I bet these young whipper snappers complain that they only have one-hundred channels- and there’s nothing good on cable anymore. I was usually playing with my GI Joe's rather than watching TV anyway. First Joe, 1964 or ‘65. I wish I still had that one. Would be worth quit a bit of mulla.
Man, the 1980's GI Joes were where its at, dude. Much better
I still watch Andy Griffith on TV land. but I was referring to watching the original airings in the poll above.
I guess I'd fit into the Nirvana one, but I always hated that crap.
Any of you folks remember when one of the hottest "new" options on a TV was............"instant on"??![]()

Instant on was waaaaay before color. You could turn on a "regular" TV (with a 12" screen in a huge box) then go make a sandwich and a couple of phone calls (only 5 digit #s then) and when you got back, TV may be ready. Takes a while to warm up all them tubes.![]()
