Trooper says driver threw items at truck
Eagle Staff Report
A Friendswood man took his road rage out on the wrong driver Friday morning and was arrested after throwing things at an off-duty Texas Department of Public Safety trooper's pickup, authorities said.
The man was traveling north on Texas 6 just south of College Station about 10:30 a.m. He was behind Trooper Michael Hubbard, who was with his daughter in his personal vehicle, according to DPS records.
Hubbard told investigators the man was trying to force them out of the way and, once he passed the trooper, began to throw objects at Hubbard's pickup.
College Station police arrested the man and charged him with reckless driving and criminal mischief, a Class B misdemeanor. He was released Friday from the Brazos County Jail on $6,000 bail.
Good! That worked out well....
Shoot him in the pocket book. That will keep his big mouth shut.
That's the second road rage incident in the past month in our small area. I hope things aren't going the way of the big city around here - ya can never be too careful...
People have become far too concerned with themselves and their own thing. They have forgotten that one must share the road with others, apparently. Just yesterday, I was heading to work and this guy merged onto the freeway, directly into the left lane. Then he proceeded to tailgate me for a mile or so (50MPH and not even a full vehicle length between us). I really would have liked to go faster, but the traffic in front of me wouldn't allow it. Finally, he got off my rear and tailgated somebody else. I don't understand what's happening anymore.
This is similar to what happened recently in my area. A woman ran into a parked car at a grocery store with the owner in it who also happened to be an off duty LEO. She bolted- he called it in. They also got her for meth possession.
Meth - man, people are sucking that stuff down now-a-days like itw as vitamin C.
It is a shame. I see so many people hooked on this crap as a probation officer - and, it does cause brain damage. I have seen bright people reduced to low class idiots after using that stuff for a few years.
Ohhhh, you mean goin' from an educated idjit to a moron![]()
