Having a fairly large family myself I know where your coming from. No greater reward in the world than being a father. Prayers for you and the whole family on the way.
Hey ya all. Say some prayers for me and my wife. We are taking in our niece who is having difficulties in school and her behavior. The shrink thinks it mostly stems from the lose of her mother (wife's sister) three years ago. She passed away a month after a double lung transplant. She had already bet Leukemia due to my wife's donation of her bone marrow but chemo screwed up her lungs. Our niece is eleven and is a great kid. We’ve personally not had any problems with her. She loves and respects my wife (and me) tremendously so I think we can help her out. I’ve been wanting to adopt anyway so this is the next best thing. We’ll be helping family.
We will have her until she’s an adult. We’re actually pretty excited about it and look forward to raising another kid. My wife has been a big part of her life her whole life. My wife named her. She had spent a lot of time with us when we had my wife's sister living with us when she was terminally ill. She and my youngest daughter who is six today get along great and they look like sisters.
It’s a great feeling to know that we have a chance to help someone who needs it desperately. Besides, I enjoy being a dad and so far have been good at it with two adult kids with whom I never had a problem with. Wish us luck and say many prayers.

Good luck, I hope all goes well for all of you.
My wifes sister has three girls that are all trouble, yet they all mind my wife and me better than their own parents, so I may very well end up the same situation some day. In fact it has already been discussed.
Thanks everyone. I really appreciate it. We're excited about it. I just warned my family that they will get twice the pics now. We tend to send a lot of my youngest daughter.
PS. The mohawk is gone now. I only had it for two weeks a year and half ago but had fun freaking people out with it.
