Thread: Taking in niece.

Having a fairly large family myself I know where your coming from. No greater reward in the world than being a father. Prayers for you and the whole family on the way.

+1 on that. In today's world, a lot of people would just shuffle the kid off onto the government. Good job stepping up and doing the right thing! I'm sure the little girl will do fine in your care.

My wifes sister has three girls that are all trouble, yet they all mind my wife and me better than their own parents, so I may very well end up the same situation some day. In fact it has already been discussed.

We will have her until she’s an adult. We’re actually pretty excited about it and look forward to raising another kid. My wife has been a big part of her life her whole life. My wife named her. She had spent a lot of time with us when we had my wife's sister living with us when she was terminally ill. She and my youngest daughter who is six today get along great and they look like sisters.

It’s a great feeling to know that we have a chance to help someone who needs it desperately. Besides, I enjoy being a dad and so far have been good at it with two adult kids with whom I never had a problem with. Wish us luck and say many prayers.

I always pray for and admire those who go the extra mile for God's children...I believe she will be fine in your hands.

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate it. We're excited about it. I just warned my family that they will get twice the pics now. We tend to send a lot of my youngest daughter.

PS. The mohawk is gone now. I only had it for two weeks a year and half ago but had fun freaking people out with it.
