Wrapped up this little buffie, hes a little different style than I usually carve, but I dig it. I figgured since he was all wood and hollowed out old school, may as well go old school all the way.....
Hollowed basswood, acrylic paints, glass eyes, cocobolo keel.
Got this bluebill sanded and sealed, ready for color....
Hi-Density cork body, pine bottom board and tail insert, tupelo head, glass eyes

We do have a lot of talent out here don稚 we. When I finish with my sculpture of Elvis made out of my buggers I値l post a picture. It値l be a few months though. I知 jus ta picking and a grinning.![]()
I appreciate all the kind commets fellas. I'm really just a wannabe. There are some folks out there who really can carve. Mueller, Furia, Mitchell........list goes on and on........
Give me another 15 years, then we can talk about it.....till then, I'm just happy that I can appreciate the time and history behind hardcarved decoys.
