    Gunshow last weekend

Well, I went to the gun show yesterday at the AR state fairgrounds and was a bit dissappointed. All of the new guns I saw were asking more for them than what I've seen at the local Gander Mtn, and most of the used guns I was interested in they were wanting as much as a new one cost (ex. $1200 for a used Kimber.

Of course it beat sitting at home on a rainy Sunday afternoon, and there were a lot of nice OLD guns. One guy had a whole collection of 1911s from the WW1 era.

Yes, if the show is big enough, it is a fun way to kill time. I hope to get to the one in Houston next month...

I went to one here back in June. It was horrible. Admission was a rip-off, there were no good prices, and half the dealers had huge signs saying not to handle the guns. I stayed about an hour, bought a bore snake, and left. I don't think I'll be going to another show in a long time. I rather spend the money on ammo.

I only go to the 2 largest Houston ones - that's all. They are pretty good.
