Thread: Shotgun question???

If open carry is legal in your state/county/city then yes its legal, HOWEVER you WILL attract some major attention from the police, likely responding to panicked 911 calls about a "man with a gun" ,guaranteed, and it will probably not be a pleasant expeience..

+ ALOT... as Scooter has "more or less" said, your only asking for trouble.

Even if it's legal you'd probably be charged with Inducing Panic or Public Menacing or something like that...unless you have a Johnny Cochran and a lot of free time and $$$$, I'd stick to CCH.

On the other hand,

I think its illegal to drive a pickup in Texas without at least one shotgun or rifle hanging on the back window.

AZ doesn't have any laws against it. I carried a shotgun into the bank last Thursday and nobody paid any attention to it at all.

You can anywhere where open carry is ok. The day I went to get my shotgun there was heavy traffic and I had to park a few blocks away from the gun store (which was down town). Since the gun was used, there was no box so I had to walk through downtown with a pistol grip shotty! It was kinda wierd but no one gave me any funny looks.

At least not while you were looking at them..........

In Texas it is illegal to carry a concealed handgun with a CHL into a bar, but it is legal to walk in carrying a shotgun. I wouldn't do it but it is a little quirk in the law here.
