I shoot better with my P99 - so I've decided its not worth me buying another expensive 1911, along with the added ammo cost.

I've put about 1500 rounds through several different P99's so I know how they shoot. I'll stick to 1911's.
As for the extra ammo cost I reload so it doesn't matter much to me.

Well, everyone has their preferences. Before I had my fullsize P99, I had my SW99 - And, it irritated me that I outshot my 1911 w/ that $439 gun. For whatever reason, I shoot the tightest groups w/ my P99 - And, w/ a 1911 in 2nd place for group size.

Don't get me wrong - I love 1911s. Just tried of having various issues - the last being the refinishing screwup - But even before the refinishing, that TRP I had was not as accurate as I would have liked. I'm just tired of loosing money on them. So, I'll stick with my P99s - my version of a 1911 now

I had that very Springfield TRP - I can say - I was not impressed for the money. Sorry dude.

~ Well, I can't really add to that 'cuz I've never owned a TRP model...
But I have been sorta "shopping" around for one ... I price them at almost every show I go to but have never been able to strike up a good enough deal. I have a few Springfields & really like them all. But as you said before... to each his own. And I guess if we all agreed on everything & liked all the same hardware, then this would be one dull forum...
