Hello all, sorry if this is in the wrong section. I didn't really know where to place this.
I'm new around here, so first I'll introduce myself. I'm Andrew. Just a 21 year old from Wisconsin and a newly found gun-nut. I made my first handgun purchase a few months ago. Went with a Glock 26, and I'm pretty happy with it. It has seen some pretty decent range time in it's short life with me and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. I do plan on starting a collection, but that's been put on hold for now.
Now, about this interesting idea I have. I'm a student working on a engineering degree, and this thought popped in my head for a project that I had to do, and I thought it would be a good idea to maybe try to market it. I designed an ammo case, but I used the Glock logo for it, and it actually turned out pretty decent. By no means am I a master designer, but I can turn out some nice looking products. My idea was to make custom ammo cases (like the plastic traays that they come in). It just looks like the logo, extruded it about 1.5" and offset holes through the entire thing so when it is filled the rounds obviously take the shape of the logo. I know I can't sell that one due to copyright and all that legal stuff, but what I could do is take orders from people and make what the want. Take orders by website, and do it kind of how Comp Tac does it, 2-3 week turn around time to design and create and ship. I thought it would give someone a more "personal" touch with accessories.
I was just looking for some feedback, and if anyone would even be interested in something like this? If there is good feedback I just might follow through with this and advertise on forums like this and search for a place to have them made.
