Jean and I will be in Providence, RI, visiting our elder granddaughter (she just turned two) from this Tuesday, August 28th, until September 15th.

We drove up to the house, its front door opened, and out ran a cute little blonde who was calling "Gran'pa!" at the top of her lungs.
We went for a couple of long walks, she holding my index finger in her fist in a vice-like grip.
At just exactly two years old, she has an extensive vocabulary. Of course, it includes "NO!"—after all, she is two. But it also includes "Yes!" and "Again!", not to mention "mustache" and "beard."
And she likes my singing.

Glad you had a good visit and a safe trip.
Spent the day with my 2 year old granddaughter to day, went to the zoo and was told what all the animals were(even the ones she didn't know) and what sound they make and it seemed to be a roar for most of them. She only used her favorite word (no) once when it was time to go home. She was asleep before we we got the van started to come home. Her parents always say we spoil her rotten then return her,isn't that what grandparents do?
