    Visiting Columbus with handgun

    I will be traveling to Columbus and transporting a handgun with me. Can anyone point me in the right direction for the laws (preferably in plain English) concerning its transportation from the airport to my parent's home, to the shooting range, and laws regarding carrying on private property?

    Nope, he is working at a Burger King in Ohio......There are numerous lists of handgun laws, especially concealed carry, just google those terms.....JJ

    Try here: Handgunlaw.us I usually use it when visiting a new state for a quick overview.

    Be warned, Ohio is a royal pain in the ass on their CCW laws, and businesses that post are legally binding, so mind your Ps and Qs unless you want to end up with a felony weapons charge. I try to avoid going north of the river when I'm carrying.

    For example, I'm actually headed up there today for a family church event. Under Ohio law, "places of worship" are prohibited unless otherwise allowed by the church in question. And I can't recall the last time I saw a church with "please carry weapons here" sign...
