He should have NOT been suspended. He's not a journalist and doesn't pretend to be.
GE, owner of NBC, gives money to politicians. Joe Scarborough gave to some republican and there weren't any consequences.

I can't stand Oberman at all.
But he should still have to right to speak.
It's not as if it came as a surprise to MSNBC he's a progressive.

I think this is more a move to get out of Keith's contract before Comcast buys it all.

I know who he is (due to channel surfing) and from what little I've heard he is hardcore democratic. I just assumed neutral reporting is a sign of the past, especially on national networks and some cable news networks as well. I'll bet he's not the only broadcast reporter who has contributed to there party of choice. Nonetheless, having said all that, it couldn't have happened to a better person. I do remember him doing sports, maybe he'll return to sports broadcasting. I hope not. I'd rather he just fade away and shut up.

Ditto to this. He signed his contract, broke the rules, and got the boot. And as Sig said above, couldn't have happened to a better guy.

It's kind of goofy treating a pundit as if he's an impartial reporter, but that was the contract. He got his little reprimand; now back to your regularly scheduled ranting.
