New poll needs to be hit hard

FOXNews.com - Should the American Flag Be Banned -- in America?

Should the American Flag be banned in the US? Apparently the left is hitting this pole hard. We need to hit back. Go vote no. and then pass this link on to friends

I'm just curious. Do you know anything about the context of this poll as to what brought it about? I noticed a reference to keeping the kids safe. Does this have anything to do with the students out west who wore shirts with flags on them to school on Cinco de Mayo?

    Thanks.

The poll was originally posted 1 month ago. Right about the time of Cinco de Mayo. Hitting polls if fine but it rarely even remotely effects policy, especially because this administration HATES Fox news. The only polls people should worry about hitting hard come up in November.

Thanks. I just noticed the comment about the "lefties apparently hitting this hard" and had a hard time imagining a bunch of lefties sitting around the campfire singing "Kumbaya" and watching Fox News.

More likely would be the scenario that Fox News broadcasts the original story and then the poll. Concerned parents vote because they are concerned about their kids. It's not about right or left, it's parents being parents. They vote in context with the original story. Then Fox removes the original story and leaves the poll standing.

It makes for one of those Glen Beck "gotcha" stories.

"Libruls want to ban the flag!!! Just look at this poll!!!!"

It's becoming a very sick world, I am very disappointent with sociaty today. To even think of something like this is un-American and should be treated as treason.

And I agree with you Frank. My only point is that I'm getting tired of being manipulated....

"Have you had your Viagra talk?"

"Ask your doctor if Prilosec is right for you."

"At BP, we will make it right."

"Budweiser, the all American beer"...I think some foreign company owns it now.

I remember when everybody smoked. As smoking became less popular, the cigarette companies diversified. The folks that produced Winston cigarettes bought Nabisco.

Using the same techniques that were so effective in getting us to smoke their cigarettes, they encouraged us to eat their products.

Now, most of us are fat.

And so now, I look at everything with the eye of sceptic. "What's your agenda?" "Where's the money coming from?" "Where's the money going?"

Thanks buddy. Remember when Red Skelton could keep you laughing for an hour without using profanity?

I wish grew up back then.... it's sad that kids my age at school (public University) think of me as a "neo-nazi" for my patriotic, strong american beliefs

That's part of it, but not everything. Folks just got along. We don't get along anymore. There's too much animosity. I remember when Democrats and Republicans used to get along. We made some good natured pokes at each other, but for the most part, we got along. Our representatives, be they Democrat or Republican, actually managed to get together and through compromise, get some legislation passed.

That's all out the window now. It's all bickering, name calling, and the country is left at a virtual stalemate.

The voters of either party don't win. They really don't.

The politicians, the lobbyists, the talking heads on the news channels, the big corporations and special interest groups...they all win.

You and I, be you Republican or Democrat or Libertarian or Green or Whatever, we don't win.

We pay for it all, but we get nothing in return.

Don't let those turkeys get you down. The politically correct has been a slow moveing cancer that has stricken this country since the early 60's and maybe, soon there will be a cure for this desease. Are your parents proud of you and your beliefs? Are you proud of your beliefs? That sir, that is all that counts. We at this forum are all proud of our beliefs and proud of our country, it's history, and all it has stood for, for the past 200 some odd years. So maybe you, as a colledge student, will sieze every oppertunity to teach your ASSosiates what it means to be a proud American.
