    The first 2 or 3 Peeks I took just produced a white square.
    My engineering math doesn't work in the mountains either.

    Ma and Pa Kettle...Marjorie Main and Percy Kilbride. (I may have the last-name spelling slightly wrong.)
    Originally they were lesser characters in the film The Egg and I, starring Claudette Colbert (from a book by Betty MacDonald). They were so well received by audiences that they were subsequently given their own series of movies.
    It was rural disgust about that series that earned the Variety headline: "Hix Nix Stix Pix."

    I remember them shows being old when I was young. Man that was longtime ago heh. I recall the funniest one to me was where Pa got magnetized... he walked by a covered wagon with pots hangin all over the side and they stood up trying to get to him.
