Is this so you can locate your attacker to defend yourself... with a handgun... out to 400-500M???
Somehow I don't consider anyone a threat, outside of about 20yds... unless they have a rifle, and I don't... Either way, outside 20yds, I'm RUNNING!!!

I always thought that one of those thermal imaging gadgets would be terriffic while hunting deer. They're hard to see unless they're moving.
