TAMPA, Fla. — Doctors say it's amazing that a 41-year-old Tampa-area woman survived after someone shot her right between the eyes while she was riding in her boyfriend's pickup truck.
Doctors think she was hit with a .44-caliber bullet that broke in two pieces, each traveling under her skin and exiting behind her ears last weekend. She was released from the hospital hours later with just stitches.
The woman says two cars started following their truck Saturday night and the occupants began yelling at them.
At a traffic light, someone in one of the cars stood up in the sunroof and started shooting back at the truck.
Part of the bullet that hit the woman exited her head, went through the back window of the truck and hit a Jeep driving behind it.
Police are still looking for the shooter.

I sure don't want to butt heads with her.
Now we must reconsider our selection of walk in the woods gun. If the puny .44 does no better than that, I want a 20MM explosive round for any bear encounters.

Goes to show you the women in Fla don't have a thing in their heads. It passes in the front and out the back. I bet she didn't even spill a drop of her beer, or have the ash fall from her cig.
Now please this is all in jest-I don't want to piss off any of the women in Fla, most are a lot tougher than me.
Wow that's crazy!
I read that the Jeep was totaled.
Geez guys- you're really sending the love out. If I go hiking with one of you and a bear charges be prepared to have your knee shot out so you can't beat me in a foot race.
OMG.. She is very lucky.
People are getting crazier everyday.![]()
That's pretty bizarre.
It reminds me of a story I read a long time ago.
A guy shot his sleeping wife or girlfriend in the back of the head with a crossbow. The bolt went right in between the lobes of her brain (it had a target point on, not a broadhead) and got stuck such that it made a big lump on her forehead. The woman didn't even wake up when she was shot. Hours later she woke up and went to the hospital, complaining of an awful headache. It was removed in surgery and she was fine.
