A dog is truly a man's best friend.
If you don't believe it, just try this experiment:
Put your dog and your wife in the trunk of the car for an hour.
When you open the trunk, see who is really happy to see you!
Here's another one for you:
Your wife is at the front door hollering to be let in, and your dog is at the back door barking to be let in. Which one do you let in first?
Your dog..................He'll shut up after you let him in!
Why'd you go and post that.
3Reds has read it, and that brought about old memories.
We went to Lowe's a couple of years ago in our car instead of our truck. I found some shelving I wanted and decided to buy it.
3reds promised me it wouldn't fit in the car (a pontiac Grand Prix).
I told her the seats would fold down and it would fit fine in the back end.
Well, turns out the shelving did fit in the car, but only if 3Reds lay down in the trunk, next to the shelving, which extended all the way to the front seat.
She says she had to find a "happy place" to make the trip home without panicking.
She did look a bit like a corpse in there. Laying face up with arms crossed and all.
As luck would have it we were having "scattered showers" that day.
I could see a downpour headed our way, about three blocks from our house as I turned down our street.
I raced the little cloud to the house, parked, popped the trunk and did a quick extraction just as the showers hit.
She still hasn't forgiven me.
... and she still doesn't appreciate that I saved her from getting soaked when we got home.
Never argue with drunks or crazy people.
I thought I should reply to this since I was the one in the trunk. He forgot to tell you that I offered to go home and get the truck. When he didn't think that was necessary, I offered to stay at Lowes while he drove home with the shelving and then hopefully come back to pick me up. He was just insistant that everything would fit I could just ride home peacefully feet first in the trunk next to the shelving. I had no idea it was starting to rain (you can't see much from the trunk) and was very suprised when the car stopped, the trunk lid popped open, and I was pulled out quickly and delivered to the garage. I think you're right, the dogs would have been happier to see Wandering Man
