S&W 380 help

[HOPELESS]

I shot a S&W 380 bodyguard I like the gun I know call me old but I like the safety option. I was ready to buy one, and was told there is some problems with it to buy a Ruger,I like the the safety Ruger don't have one . Does anyone have a answer for me thanks

Both firearms had some problems in early production........I prefer the sights and trigger on the Bodyguard...I carry a Bodyguard....ate everything i've fed it, so far....as long as you stay away from the early serial numbered ones, you should be OK with either....just a matter of preference.

which ruger? the LCP?
i had an lcp and sold it - the design definitely wears your hand out if you want to practice
i have read nothing bad about the bodyguard except as mentioned above
get a new bodyguard
i am wanting the sig p238 because it is locked breech rather than blowback design

I also have the Sig P238, had a Bersa Thunder .380 before that and had problems with some ammo and the slide started to pit and rust on it. Sig has been flawless so far with all ammo thrown at it. I carry it cocked and locked in my pocket. It has very little recoil and very nice sights.

I was apprehensive to buy the BG380 for various reasons like the laser screw getting stuck in the barrel/ slide, and also some FTFs but these problems as others have said were early problems. Now its a solid weapon. In comparison to the LCP, it just FEELS like a REAL gun. I mean the sights make all the difference, me and my brother were hitting stuff at long range just like we could with our Glock 9s.

Without hesitation you should choose it over the LCP. I spent MONTHS trying to figure out which to purchase. Also get Desantis pocket holster. Seriously this gun is fantastic!
