Blogging for dummies

Senior dummy here with a dumb question. Could we get a 101 post on how to blog since we now have this feature on the forum? I can read what you fella's are posting up but no clue how to respond with a comment or post one of my own. The answers are probably right under my nose but I couldnt figure it out so if I don't ask I'll never know. Thanks!

That is a good suggestion. I just kept clicking on stuff until I got something to work.

I will add that to start a blog, you just go to "My Blog" and have at it. If you don't give your blog a title, it defaults to your username.

To reply to someone else's blog just click "reply" at the bottom of the post. I think that the author can enable or diable replies or only allow a reply after its been moderated first. I'm assuming it allows the author to be the moderator, so if you want to approve the replies beforehand you can. Might be a good idea if you are blogging about something controversial like your support of the Brady handgun agenda.

Otherwise, I've just been clicking around and having some fun with it. It's a nice feature.

Didn't mean to let out your little secret.

I'm still playing around with the blogging thing myself, but if you screw something up too badly, if you PM one of the moderators they can usually straighten it out or make it disappear. They always appreciate it when you give them something to do.


OK...to start, you need to click the button that says Blogs at the top of the page. It's the second one to the left. When the blogs come up, go directly to the far left where it says "My Blog" and click that. After you do that, go to the far right and click "Create New Post". That should get you started.
