    Question FN Browning

My husband inherited an old FN Browning 380. I am trying to find out more information on this handgun. I tried contacting Browning here in the US and was told by their historian that it was a European one mad for European sale. That all the records over there were mainly destroyed during WWII. I just want to know what model it is and a value if I need to get insurance on it. We want to pass it down to our son when he is old enough to understand the value not monetary but historically of this firearm. Could someone point me in the direction I can find someone that would have more information?

Welcome! Please post some photos of the FN Browning .380, make sure you get close, clear shots where any markings are located, fill the frame (viewfinder) and avoid using a camera-phone if possible. The members here are fantastic but there are so many models no one will be able to assist you with limited info you provided. There is a subforum for FN-Browning pistols, post the pics there when you're ready.

All I have right now are camera phone pics. They are pretty good just not as clear as I would like and I will not be going back to my father in laws area till Oct. When I can take very good pics I will. I will try to post these for now and see if you can see any of the details clearly. I know there is an M on both front sides of the trigger guard. I have looked at the M1910 and the M1922 and neither look like this one. The closest one I have seen was the 1903. Well crud I cant figure out how to post pics here. I can email them to whoever would like to see them.

What are the markings on the pistol? On the frame and slide- patent dates and such?
