fnp 9 m

I am looking at a fnp9 as a CC and am a little confused, is there a more compact model called the fnp9m? I have seen a little about them but the FN website does not list them at all and I cant seem to find any for sale on the popular sites, but I have seen comments about a "m" version on various forums.

The fnp9 seems to have everything I think I want and if it comes in a more compact package all the better. Does anyone here CC the fnp9 and if so how is it for that purpose, what method works best. Thanks for any help.

Judging by its availability I would guess the FNP9M has been discontinued. I, too, was looking for a solid 9mm for carry a while back and was very interested in picking one up. Once in a while I would find one on gunbroker's website but they were few and far between, even about a year ago. They're even harder to find these days. A few local shops get FNPs routinely but I have yet to see any of them receive any "compact" model FNPs. A shame, really. :(

The "M"s been discontinued. A shame. I have one and a FNP9 and carry the M due to shorter grip(15rd mag vs 16 in FNP9), little shorter barrel, same width.

Over at FN Forum someone just bought a FNP-9m with a safety. First I have seen like that so maybe they are going to start making them again. They said they were coming out with a subcompact in 2009 on the forum was hoping for a single stack but maybe it is the m coming back. I really like my FNP-9 but a little large maybe for concealed carry.

The De-cock lever on the FNP is a safety also. Flips up.

Only on the USP version previously but the FNP9-M in the photo has the safety and does have some of the other USP appearance. Mine has only a decocker. The ones with the safety have a red dot above the decocker.

I have a Browning Pro-40 that has the de-cocker with the safety. All the FNP's I've sen thus far did as well. I guess I need to see more..heh

Yep. I've got a FNP9 and FNP9M. Decockers but no safety.

I just had my LGS set aside an FNP-9M for pick up on Monday. He gave me a great deal seeing as he has had it for some time and the "M" is discontinued. He has an FNP-9 also but I think that the "M" will conceal more easily. That SHOULD end my insane buying impulses at least for a while. :smt023

If you haven't found one yet, my LGS (A-1 Woods & Waters) has one for $479.99. Pretty good price it seems to me. Their phone # is 989-742-3878 (northern Michigan.) Talk to Rick or Lisa. Tell them that the minister who bought the FNP-9M sent you.

I wound up buying it three weeks ago. What a sweet shooter! After a trip to the range, I sold my Glock 19 and ordered an FNP-357 to keep the 9 company.
